This site is now I believe run by the C.&C.C.
There are shower blocks and the hardstandings are shale/slate chippings.
Some of the pitches may need levelling blocks.
A nice site if a little pot holey. Lovely dog walks leading off site with views of Snowdons peak.
Behind our pitch, where we also took the dogs for a walk, is the old track bed of the Welsh Highland Railway. This line is being relaid and 2 years ago was only 2 miles from the campsite which will have a platform built so campers can use the train. When finished it will run from Carnarfon to Porthmadoc, a total of approxiamately 42 miles.
The downside to this site is the roads to Beddgelert, there isn't a decent one Confused The A498 from Porthmadoc is the best approach although that is windy and narrow towards Beddgelert as is the A4086/A498 from Capel Curig.

Grade Despite the potholes and the not so level hardstandings this site gets top marks for it's positioning in Snowdonia. Pity about the roads to the place though.

Pics of the entrance, the stream, our pitch, one of the dog walks where the peak of Snowdon can be seen at the top right and the railway which will eventually pass through the site with it's own Halt.
