One of my favourite sites. It has no shower block which helps to keep it quiet. It is a wooded site with a gate leading out to Derwent Water, a lovely walk for the dogs although beware of ticks. Turn right out of the site, heading for Keswick, and you will come across spectacular views of Keswick and Derwent Water.
What puts some off is the narrow road from Keswick to Grange where you then turn right over a double, single track, humpback bridge. The road is narrower still then for 1 mile to the site. We never encountered any difficulties and if care is taken there shouldn't be any problems.
Grade The tops. |
