I like this place because theres plenty of walks direct off site to take our dogs with easy walking, no hills. It's up to the usual club standards with all facilities. Plenty of trees to pitch under and for those who prefer, open spaces.
The downside is reported thefts by people entering the site - shoot the thieving *%@!"
Grade The tops for me simply because you can walk off site and go in any direction. A sense of freedom with easy level walking. |

The sit is run by the Caravan Club and there used to be a C,C,C as well but that closed down last year.
There is a dog walk and there is bike rost as well and walks as well to do and all so there are villege to round and Shirwood Foristjust down the road and all so Rufford Abbey.
The sit is up to the same standers as other Caravan Club Sit.
It as 2 whash blocks and 2 play parks for the kids. |

Gill - you pinched my question. I was going to ask Mark that.
Mark - little Gaylord and myself walked to the major oak and guess who we bumped into?

When I was a kid we use to climb all over the Major Oak and it was hollow inside. We used to have a picnic on the green. I can always remember this bus/charabanc pulling up and a lot of females of all ages getting out. They were all dressed the same, in grey sackcloth dresses and basin haircuts. Apparently it was a trip out from the local asylum. It looked strange to see them playing games like rounders and skipping. To my young eyes then the women seemed like living fossils but were probably no older than 40
The fair that's there now used to be there when I was a kid. |
