We visited this site in September 2007,it is a C&CC site but is not owned by them so is privately owned. It is quite a large site but split into a number of areas so that you can only see a dozen or so vans at a time.It has been updated in recent times so facilities are good (no pool or bar)They are about to undertake a large development of static and cabins away from the tourers, there is a mix of grass and hard standing pitches,we booked hardstandind but on arrival we could only have a very sloping grass pitch. For most of the time hardstandings stood empty until vans were pulled out of storage by the site put on pitch and in some cases sat there unoccupied for a week which did not please us.A large number of the pitches seem to be used in this way with only certaiin pitches available to club members.
It is quiet and on the border of Devon and Dorset and only 10 minutes drive from Lyme Regis or Charmouth if visiting Lyme Regis enter the back way and park by the yacht club as it is cheaper and flat.
There are many places to visit in the area including Beer,Seaton etc.
Would I go again possibly as it is convenient and better than other sites in the area including the CC site, but I would want assurance of a hardstanding if going again.

We stayed on this site in September 2003, or maybe 2004,  can't really remember! Confused It looks as if the hedges and such have grown alot as it was rather open when we went - nice site though, and we did have a hardstanding.  Very Happy

According to their website, non-C&CC members have to pay a £6.00 per pitch surcharge during high season only.

Yes, we were nearest the reception area, left hand side as you drove in, with the toilet block behind - non of the grass pitches were in use! Smile

From the 2009 book  With the pitch fee of £6.60 a night you'd save that by joining then you can use other C&CC sites with no pitch fee for rest of year

We stayed there in late 2006  It was 2 sites then Now its all one
