We arrived at the above Site on Saturday 18th April 2009, reporting to reception on arrival, we was then shown to our Pitch, where we then asked which way we would like our van to face, we decided to have our van facing the nice views overlooking the fields, we un hitched and our van was put on pitch by warden and my hubby, those with movers were left to there own devices.

Our Pitch was a Premium Pitch Gravel, if we had a awning that would be on the grass and then car parked beside, so pitches were generous.

The Touring Pitches were terraced which we both liked very much, the whole site very nicely maintained, there were two shower blocks, but we only used the one plenty of room loads of toilets and sinks and the showers were the adjustable type which I prefer rather than having to keep pressing the button for hot water, under floor heating which was very nice.

I cannot comment on the chemical disposal point as that was hubby’s job Wink Shocked Very Happy

The site had a terraced club and lounge with 2 pool tables, (naturally I beat chris ) Laughing Laughing Laughing and a takeaway for very nice fish and chips, etc, indoor/outdoor swimming pool, childrens playing area.

There was also a shop on site.

The site was quite busy for this time of year, and the seasonal pitches for touring side seemed to be pretty full, they were mostly suited on the lower level, there were also super premium pitch which were enclosed with small hedges on completely gravel pitch.

The site itself was lovely and we both enjoyed the break, thanks to our Boss here at Globe Vale for paying for our holiday.

The site was a 10-15mins walk to Charmouth Beach,(Jurassic Coastline) which is a fossil-hunter’s paradise, hubby was lucky enough to find a fossil imprint lime stone.

Just outside the site about a 5 mins walk is a caravan accessories shop, for your every needs, ie. Gas etc.

Before we left we changed over to Calor Light which we found very good.

But we will have to get another car, it did struggle up those hills, I will be posted on tow cars for advise on car we thinking of buying.

Great Review Liz! The site looks lovely, i really like terraced sites because it feels more open and not so squashed in.

How was the first trip in the van? And the big question, did Chris get the toilet pump done Laughing?

It is good that they helped you move the van in, we have been on a few terraced sites and the owners said if the van was british it would have to be reversed in cos the door but because ours is foregin we drove in and had the best views. I can see what the site mean though as some dont like to be door to door with others.

Glad you had a good time anyway. I wish my boss would pay for holidays Laughing
